Linny’s on Ossington has brought a fresh vibe to Toronto’s dining scene. Chef David Schwartz, of Mimi & Sunnys fame, takes a new direction with this spot. He blends a retro steakhouse and deli in one cozy, nostalgic package.

Named after Schwartz’s mom, Linda, Linny’s has a vibe that’s warm and homey. It also has a vintage twist. The place features terrazzo floors and cool chrome details. You will find corduroy booths and jazz playing in the background to set the mood.

The menu offers all he comfort food you’d expect, from dry-aged steaks, Caesar salads and fries. You’ll also find deli-style specialties like hand-cut pastrami and tripe schnitzel.

The restaurant feels like a blend of classic NYC deli and a steakhouse. Just in time for the cool weather, the spot has all the family-style warmth you’d want on a night out​.
